How Kernal collects, uses and protects information about you and the machines you run.

Information we collect

We collect the details you give us when you create an account, such as your name, email address and billing information. We also collect usage data about the machines you run, including boot times, resource consumption and error logs, so we can operate and improve the service.

We do not inspect the contents of your persistent disks or the traffic inside your machines, except where you explicitly grant access for support or where required by law.

How we use information

We use your information to provide the service, bill you accurately, keep machines secure, respond to support requests and send product updates you can opt out of at any time.

Sub-processors

We rely on a small number of infrastructure and payment providers. Each is bound by a data processing agreement and may only process data on our instructions.

Retention and deletion

Account data is kept for as long as your account is active. When you delete a machine, its disk and snapshots are destroyed within 30 days. You can request deletion of your account data by contacting us.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data. Contact us and we will respond within 30 days.
